Nightlife, food and entertainment in Tenerife
Bars in Tenerife offer some of the best entertainment on the island, from live entertainment, singers and comedy acts, to quiz nights and Karaoke. You don’t even need to worry about missing your favourite soap or that all important sport’s event just because you are on holiday because many of the bars in Tenerife have wide screen TV’s for these occasions. Drinks prices may vary from one bar to the next, but some do have special offers, such as 1€ for a pint of beer, or happy hour. Most of the bars are open throughout the day and serve food, so you can enjoy breakfast at your favourite bar as well as your evening meal.
If you prefer more intimate surrounding’s for your evening meal, then restaurants in Tenerife won’t disappoint, in fact you will be spoilt for choice because of the variety of cuisine both local and international. There is something for everyone, no matter what your taste may be or your budget. If you feel like being more adventurous it is definitely worth making the effort to visit one or two of the restaurants in Tenerife which fall outside the usual tourist magnets of Los Cristianos and Las Americas. Fish is most definitely the dish of the day in the Canary Islands and in Tenerife there is no shortage of restaurants where fresh fish is cooked to perfection.
Want to party till the sun comes up? Then make your way to Las Americas, this is the party capital of Tenerife. Clubs in Tenerife are open until 5 or 6 am, although drinks may cost you a little more and there may be an entrance fee, especially at peak times or if there is a top D.J. playing. The most popular areas for clubs in Tenerife are the “Patch”, “Veronicas” and Starco and all can be found in Las Americas within walking distance of each other.
