I was recently looking around the internet to see what the latest deals and offerings were regarding cheap telephone calls to Tenerife from the UK, and vice versa.

There are lots of people who use Skype - and this service is great, but what are the alternatives, and are they any good?

How it works

Once you have registered (free), you provide the numbers you want to call, and they will be substituted by local numbers. So, each time you want to call abroad you just dial the local number provided. All the forwarding is done automatically so it's really simple. The best part for me is that you can make the calls from your own mobile phone, not the PC.

Note:

When I was checking out their pricing, my only option was to select Spain and not Tenerife. Now I know that some operators do charge more for calls to / from Tenerife so I though I should get clarification on this point from Operator One. I am pleased to say that Operator One confirmed that pricing to/from Tenerife to/from the UK is the same as Spain, so the prices shown above are correct (at the time of writing).
